The one thing about this video that really grabbed me is how Will Smith breaks down the difference between talent and skill, and which one should be given priority. Without saying too much, I just thought I’d share this with those that know me, those that love me and those that come across this blog via random Googling.

Marketing: Social or so-so?

Because the products we sell are very niche I thought this was a very good opportunity to work toward creating entrepreneurs instead of waiting for people to start businesses and then come to us to buy whatever they need. I am not a proponent of newspaper advertising at all, however the opportunity allowed us – according to their paper’s distribution figures – to reach one prospect at a cost of 0.5c. That was the part that excited me most about this.

Get Social.. or Get Out

Right now social media is being integrated into everyday business practises at a rate never seen before. Not even email was adopted as a business tool this quickly. Pretty soon we’ll see social media right up there with PR, TV and print advertising. And it costs way way less.
